Pay for Performance? Another Perspective….

Author Daniel Pink (A Whole New Mind; Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future) debunked the myth! Speaking to a room full of International School Headmasters at the annual Association for the Advancement of International Education conference in Boston, Pink cited scientific studies and common sense to offer a compelling perspective on the role of pay in regards to motivation.  Pink’s research was geared to the business world, but his message resonated with the room full of educators.  Bottom line: pay is not the acclaimed motivator we are led to believe.
